Welcome to Synthesis Body Arts, an integrative approach to Pilates rooted in over 30 years of movement education.  Drawing from a wide range of movement modalities, I offer Pilates classes that emphasize quality of movement, body awareness, and functional strength. Whether your goal is to improve posture, move with greater ease, build strength and flexibility, or simply feel better in your body, each session is designed to meet you where you are and support how you want to move through life.  With small class sizes and individualized attention, you’ll receive thoughtful guidance in a supportive, welcoming environment where you can move with confidence and work toward your personal goals at your own pace.  Join me for a practice that prioritizes awareness, sustainability, and intelligent movement in a beautiful and inviting space.

Katharine Livingston is a Pilates teacher with over 30 years of experience and a lifelong dedication to the study of movement. Synthesis Body Arts was developed out of a desire to bring together all of the movement techniques she has studied and to help people make real changes in their physical health and well being.  Katharine's personalized approach includes integrating her client’s goals with a system of exercises and cueing designed to develop awareness and to achieve optimal patterns of movement. 

Katharine has worked with clients of all ages and abilities—from professional athletes to those navigating injury or chronic conditions—and is known for her ability to meet each person where they are. Her teaching emphasizes awareness, education, and building confidence in the body while supporting the individual needs of each person in her class.
